    I guess that's why we try to teach young people the safe use of firearms. When I was a boy our right of passage was to go hunting on Thanksgiving Day with the men and older boys. Many a young lad walked back with an empty shotgun and a lump on their head. Only one that I know of walked back without the shotgun in hand and he never went again. Uncles and Dad's were not shy of correcting the mishandling of said firearm. And no I never got thumped.
