Hi
Hello guys , new member here.
Been reading your forum for a few days now and found it extremely informative.
Ive just recently started getting into war memorabilia stuff, started out with bayonets etc. But yesterday my wife bought me a Mk II 1942 D Bren gun. Which I absolutely love.
One question guys , What does the D stand for above the 1942 date?
cheers

I think Mickey might be another one of the many transient Bren questioners that come onto the site........

I don't follow...like the questions about the #1 Mk3 we went through?

Not quite BAR. The Bren forum is notorious in my eyes/opinion for UK
dewat Bren owners who come on board, ask one or two questions, get the answer which then elicits a question from our side and............... Not a peep ever again................ This Bren thread is littered with them - together with my barbed comments later. Here today, gone tomorrow without even a bye-your-leave

What we need is a sticky post at the top of this forum with common Q & As. I knows there's always the one that doesn't want to read the simple things and would rather ask but it may help eliminate those one question wonders!

What the Bren or Post # 1 ? I agree with Peter in the fact that the transients come through ask one question get the answer that they could not find themselves or with the aid of their mates when this site proffers the knowledge they seek they go back to their mates a font of knowledge. Without ever probably mentioning where and who gave them their sought after knowledge, now they will be the go to guy for info on Brens...........? Or am I getting old and cynical?
