I understand your thinking. When I came here from Englandicon I was amazed to see people buying Hi Powers and SLRs and taking them home. I was absolutely gobsmacked when they told me I could buy a Sterling. This was decades ago and all three were still in service in the British army. Coming from England the freedom here was a bit hard to grasp at first. At first the idea that I could buy these guns was a very foreign concept to me.

It’s a different world when it comes to guns and suppressors here. Here we can own machine guns and suppressors legally. There is a $200 tax on each. A suppressed SMG like the Mk5 Sterling is a two stamp gun, $400. One stamp for the machine gun and one for the suppressor.

The adapter could be very handy, IF it works. I could use it on my Mk4 Sterling with one of my pistol suppressors. Some of the new pistol suppressors are rated for full-auto and handle it very well. One of my friends has one on a MAC10 and it runs 1,200 rounds per minute. The technology really has come a long way.

The tax on suppressors might be going away soon. They will then be treated like a gun under the law. The whole NFA Tax Stamp business always reminds me of our colonial history. It looks just like an old British tax stamp.
