    "Surrey" was a model / grade of sported rifle... marketed in Canadaicon

    The N prefix and lack of proper Britishicon manufacturer codings seem to be a mid/late '50s "commercial" No4Mk2 which has been previously discussed here.

    The "circled C" is not a Canadian military/competition marking, it would be an "oval C".
