    I have a similar rifle with serial N1767, I was told by the previous owner that it was part of a batch of about 50 rifles hand assembled[new parts] for Service Rifle competition in the early 1960`s,my one was used in the NZicon Navy,don`t know who or where they were assembled. There is another similar rifle here in NZ. All the woodwork of mine is matching, hand numbered in pencil. Stuart.
