Great looking rifle. I think the finish is Finnish
, but it's a bit hard to tell in photos. Do you see signs of finish in the gouges and chips?

Has that bolt ever been blued do you think? Parts of it look as if it may have been or it could just have been the way it was photographed? Didn't German
WW2 capture Nagents sometimes end up with a blued bolt?

Yes! The blued bolt rifles are usually Nazi re-works that were sold to Finland. There is at least one document sale from Nazi Germany
to Finland in the Summer of 1944. The blued bolt Finnish
marked rifles have some unique features, including German depot markings (sometimes), re-stamped matching parts such as the buttplate and floorplate which the Finnish never bothered to do. The Finnish seemed to only care that the bolt number was re-numbered to match the rifle's serial number and those are commonly referred to as "Finn-matched" examples. Miller Tymes example posted above doesn't look like one of those, though.

No the finish on this one is the original finish applied by the Russians before it left the factory.

No the bolt on this one isn't blued, but to answer your question, yes , some of the bolts on Mosins that the Germans shipped to Finland in 43 had blued bolts, but most of the rifles they shipped to Finland where found to be below the Finnish Standards so they where mostly used as parts rifles so a blued bolt doesn't always mean the rifle was on the Germans sent to them.
Here is one on a Finn'ed 42 Izhevsk 91/30 I have. The rifle though has nothing else about it to connect it to the German shipment.

Soviet
Production) which I have been unable to identify who captured/owned it. I was thinking SCW or
Finnish
Capture but it doesn't have any of the obvious indicators of either (no SA stamps etc.). The bolt however is blued, and a second serial number was added on the receiver sideways. Do you think it could possibly be a
German
Capture then shipped to Finland. I am interested as to what your conclusions might be.

Thanks for any help you can provide
I don't think it to be a Finn or a SCW rifle, but it could be a Balkans rifle, is there a wedge under the rear sight ramp? More pics are need to try and determine where it may have come through.
