Beautiful write-up and thanks for it. I really wish I could own one of these beautiful rifles but unless my countries laws change that isn't going to happen (not getting political simply stating I can't have one).

These are truly works of art and fantastically designed guns, I never realized how much was going on there.

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, laws have a tendency to have little disregard for honest collectors and shooters. You can come live in Switzerland! Such cutaways are not even treated as weapons, and require no license whatsoever. When I bought my cutaway, the seller just plopped it in a plastic bag and handed to me, haha!

In my opinion, the Stgw 57 is one of Switzerland's best work in terms of battle rifles. It just works and is extremely well thought out.
