My interest on the forum is mainly the M1Carbine, so I would not have found the GB-IP post otherwise. I get email notification of all new carbine forum posts, and this one caught my attention since I have an S'G' and wanted to compare parts, etc. I spent a lot of time analyzing that IP and picking out things that didn't look right. I did the same with the seller's presentation Inland which even included an evaluation and data sheet filled out by Larry Ruth, himself. All very interesting to me, including Charlie's note about looking at the bidding. Especially interesting to me, was seeing who those bidders had dealt with in past transactions. I watched both of those carbines until they were sold, and wish there had been some comments and discussion on the forum about them. I think threads and posts of this type offer the chance for us to further our education about the finer points of these guns, and help us from overpaying for one that might not be all that it's advertised as. I agree with Charlie's proposal for making some changes, and didn't even realize the thread had been moved. I subscribed to it the first day, and when I didn't get notice of any replies, it puzzled me that no one had. - Bob
