Tactile Response
Ring Ring Hello Is this Mr blah blah, Answer - What is this call in regards to, We can offer you this if you would supply us wit....., No! now **** off, disconnect the line works a treat for me all the time as being gruff and rude works.
I cannot be stuffed stringing them along now if I could drag them through the phone and crack'em a good one then stuff them back down the phone they would get the message not to bother me as I have more important things to do.
Never ever ever say "Yes" even if the say is this Mr and they identify you correctly, always ask whats what with the call then tell them to take the high jump.
F10 do not be scared to give them curry and plenty of it interrupt them rudely as thats how they get you yap yaps makes me made bloke give me 5 minutes with you and you will be able to string together some very good expletives that will pin their ears back to the white board behind them along with their sales graphs...........

Unfortunately, I probably did say "yes" several times during the call and it's too late now to un-say it now; I will have to hope that it can't be used to con me out of anything. I will hopefully be better prepared next time. When they have a recording of their victim saying "yes" how do they go about using it in a dishonest way? Thanks

Have had something similar a few times. I usually talk about having explicit sexual relations with their mother, they seem to think that is inappropriate and hang up.
You gotta do what you gotta do!
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

They bill you for services or send overpriced items to you . If you catch the false charges and try to remove them they play the recording of their supervisor stating the terms of the contract and at the end is asked " do you understand and accept these terms ? " followed by your clear voice saying " yes" .

These have dropped to nearly zero since I discontinued my landline service. After 10 years that number was only used by scammers and my mother.
It was an easy decision when I recognised the trend.

I usually fill those out with friend's contact info, just to be helpful of course.
Honestly, what friend wouldn't want a timeshare investment seminar over the phone at supper time?

There's so many organisations in the U.K. using Indian call centres now that you do get legitimate calls from things such as Utility companies where the call has obviously come from India, judging from the accent. You don't want to put the phone down if it's legitimate and important but equally you don't want to get ripped off. I did wonder whether to keep a loud whistle by each of my phones so that I can give the next scammer something to listen to when I get the next call, but in this day and age they'll probably have me up for assault.
