Don't know about the value of the rifle per se, but that magazine on its own would fetch a tidy sum in the UK

You're going to have a hard time selling it for real money where you are. If you put it on CGN, the guys are still cheap but you may get the attention of the right guy out this end of the country, or in Ontario. You should be able to get between $700 and $1000 CDN for it... There will be others along with other opinions I should think. Remember, prices from other countries don't count here...nor does the status of market. Beautiful rifle by the way...very nice.

Hayboy is right regarding the Mag on its own, probably around £800 in the UK
, as for the rifle I'd guess around the same price...... the last rifle and Mag in the UK I seen was around £1600 (IIRC) but it wasn't a .22 Short Rifle Mk111 or Patt 14 rifle.
As BR says, what its worth in one Country doesn't mean the same the price in another, nice rifle I'd give it a home...... not for the prices I quoted though.
I got lucky some time back as the seller was set up for sporting rifles and shotguns so was oblivious of what he had..... not the correct rifle but certainly a Hiscock Parker mag.

And he lives in an area that you can't get them to part with money for anything...if they have any. On line sale is about the only game...too bad you guys can't get it over there. Interesting Geoff that the mag appears to you to be the greatest value and the rifle doesn't exceed it. There won't be too many here that will know what that mag is.
If the OP places a WTS here, he might do well selling to the educated.

Jim I would say its the rarest of the two, its normally missing from a correct rifle, as they did away with the mag in 1920 (IIRC), so they are either bought as a single item or in most cases sits in a wrong rifle..... its a catch 22 I think, you buy the rifle then wait for the mag to come along or you buy the Mag and wait for the rifle...........
Like you say some don't have a clue what it is or the collector value....

So here one goes then. The mag is the value here...
