I believe that the Machine Mart rust remover has a similar level of Phosphoric acid or slightly higher content; they may be very similar products? Does Unitor Metal Brite require washing with water before painting? That is my one complaint with many of the rust removers on the market because you quite literally see the metal rusting before your very eyes, the very metal that you have just de-rusted!

No, only needs washing of with water on brass, copper, aluminium etc.
