What we are suggesting is that pic 2 is not a photo of your Arisaka. How it got mixed in we don't know but it is very confusing.

The stock in the second picture for sure doesn't have a metal butt plate. I don't see a two piece stock either, seems the photos I've seem of these you can see that there were to pieces glued together.

I have a feeling you're looking at all of this on a phone, right? The second pic is of a Mossberg shotgun stock and just a couple of inches of the stripped breech. They were a bolt action shotgun. It has a cheekpiece and black plastic buttplate. It's picture two in the set you sent us. It doesn't matter though, we know what you ask. Yes, the stock in the last pic is correct.
Now, go look at this whole thing on a computer somewhere...

That looks like a picture of a Japanese stock, looks like a nice rifle. I have been looking for a matching Japanese rifle with the mum for a good price for a while now.

Just to let everyone know, ALL the pics are of the same rifle. NOT a mossberg. It all came off a arisaka t38. These were taken from a cell phone. and yes the rear of the stock is split where the dove tail is. These things might not show in the pictures but they are all there.. But thanks for commenting on the post guys. Just new tot he Arisaka rifles is all....

I got what you say but there's two of us agree that the second pic in the post number one isn't the same rifle you're asking about. Don't know why you can't physically see what you've posted...
Here's the picture taken from above, maybe you'll see it now. It doesn't matter except we were wondering why it appeared... We have your other rifle sorted out now...
And this pic is a Mossberg shotgun stock and receiver breech...

I don't know if it's a Mossberg or not but it is not an Arisaka, of that I am positive. The photo in post 13 is an Arisaka and is correct and I assume your rifle. You have a photo in your initial set that is not an Arisaka.
