You guys are correct, Im sorry. you are right it is a mossberg shotgun stock. I had my buddys rifle over here and forgot I did take pick of it also..... I put the pics in the wrong file....I feel stupid now bad... sorry guys...

Arisaka, of that I am positive. The photo in post 13 is an Arisaka and is correct and I assume your rifle. You have a photo in your initial set that is not an Arisaka.

Not a problem, just glad we could get it straightened out. The Mossberg looks like it has seen better days.

Yes it was better bad, muzzle chock has been sawed off for what ever reason. I told him I wouldnt shoot it... I just oiled it and cleaned it up and called it what it was......Told him he has to keep up on maintenance on his guns.. if not this is what the heck they will end up. I am just glad I got the Type 38 before it was to late for that one.....

It'll probably be OK, I've resurrected worse. My great uncle (USMC '19-'23) had one around and it was his favorite... Not quite that rusty though. If the inside's OK it'll work. Losing the polychoke was no loss...
