Doesn't matter if it's an M109 in 155MM, you still have to hit the target. We go through this every time. You have to hit the target regardless of what it is, confidence in what you're using and practice to ensure ability is premiere.

Yes, part of what I was trying to say in my English Second Language way. Hitting the target under stress is not that easy. With multiple attackers six shots do not seem that many. Having 15 at my disposal feels much better.

Unless your name is Dirty Harry, and everything thereafter is a myth, there is no way hose A, you will hit four masked men coming at you, when your arse is going Half Crown Sixpence, with that cannon. By the time the barrel comes back down from 90 degrees it would be all over. We throw hot tea over them here in England
with our stiff upper lip....what

Is that before or after you waste three the bad guys? Oops, just noticed you're in Austin. Might be illegal there, but elsewhere in TX it really wouldn't matter during implementation of the Castle Law...

There was a shooting incident here in the U.K., that must be over 20 years ago now, where a farmer shot at some intruders who had broken into his remote farmhouse and he opened fire with his shot gun. It was big news in the media at the time but I don't remember all the ins and outs of the case. If I remember correctly at least 1 intruder died and another was seriously wounded and obviously the matter ended up in court and if I remember correctly the farmer claimed that it was self defence. If I recall correctly, the court decided that because the intruder had been shot in the back, the farmer couldn't use the argument of self defence and I believe that he was done for murder. It was all very controversial at the time and the farmer may have appealed or tried to appeal the verdict and sentence. I don't remember if he was successful.

I "believe" that varies from state to state, so it might be wise to look into the law in your state.

I'm in law enforcement. Don't do anything to the scene after the incident. I.e.: move them, shoot into the floor or ceiling, etc. if we figure it out your going to really complicate an otherwise straightforward investigation. Just tell the truth. If your defending yourself (which is obvious since you are in your own home) you should be fine. Many states, Kansas included, have laws that prohibit law enforcement from arresting someone who was defending themselves. There are always anomolys, but if you stick to the truth when you did nothing wrong your fine.

Colt 45 next to the bed with two magazines. If that runs out, a AR under the bed with two 30 round magazines. Hopefully, never have to use either or one of the other four guns stashed around the house but I have been wakened and pulled it three times in 28 years due to unexplained noises. I figure anyone in the house is going to recognize that slide and vacate the premises pretty quick.
