Back to the origins of this post if I may......... I know the wife of a really good friend (no, not in the biblical sense you understand......) who was a truly great life like drawer and colour-in afterwards with wishy-washy lifelike colours afterwards person. Horses, people....... absolutely fantastic (but not cars or vehicles). I suggested to her once that she ought to do a run of A3 or so prints, suitable for framing of, say, a wartime sniper team in France or Belgium. We could have provided her with suitable knocked down brick barns and out buildings, clothing and weapons/equipment so that it would be dead right. The variations would be endless. A fighting patrol resting up in a ditch, snipers hiding in a pig sty pondering over a map, orientated with air photo using a compass....... endless possibilities and mail order too. But nope....... What a shame!
Her forte was facial expressions. Worn out and haggard farmers...... You know the sort of thing. Tired faces of snipers and dirty unwashed platoon Corporals would have been at the point of exact likenessInformation
