    Another slight variation, MG34/42 ammo tin.

    I also have this variation which is much closer to the "standard" WW2 Germanicon examples that are seen. I suspect that it may not be of German origin but it may have been used by them following capture and then perhaps it became Sovieticon capture at the end of the war, given the shade of green paint. The only markings that I can see, I have photographed and I don't recognise them as being German but I also don't know who else may have used such markings. I did wonder if the tin was originally Polish or Czechicon but this is little more than guesswork by me. Thanks for any information.
