    New guy here

New to the forum but not to firearms. I live in central PA, near the PSU main campus. I've been an FFL01 since 1989, started when I was in the USAF and shooting competitively. Once I retired, I opened my own gunsmithing business and got my SOT3 in 2015.

Wanted to learn more about the military firearms out there and have customers who have asked me questions that I couldn't answer so I joined here for the expertise of the forum members.

Hopefully I'll be able to add to the forum and I'll definitely ask questions when I need answers/opinions.

    Glad to be here.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I paid 15.00 cdn. for my first Lee-Enfield 44 years ago. Just paid 874.00 plus tax and shipping for a Long Branch. I needed more information than was available to me at the time. Very happy to join and learn.

YZ, here. Been watching this forum for a bit and I really like what I see. Pretty impressed w/some of the knowledge I've witnessed.

Got a couple SMLE's and a Mosin. Made the mistake of selling a couple others over the years, and I'll NEVER make that mistake again. I shoot my more contemporary stuff quite a bit, but I always find myself falling back on my vintage bolt guns. I love the history behind these things. Looking forward to learning all I can in here.

    new guy

    Hi boys and girls.
This is my intro to this forum. I have viewed it quite often over time and thought it best to finally book on.
I am an avid collector of milsurps. I have racks of Enfields and a good variety of, well, other stuff. I am an x gun plumber with the Canadianicon army. I am old enough that I was trained on Lee Enfields. We had the LB "T"s and #7s still kicking around and even to this day the Northern Rangers still use #4s. I started restoring Enfields and just kept going on from there.
Hope to learn a lot here as I am old enough to know that I don't know as much now as I did when I was younger

Greetings to the members of the forum. I have visited this site a few times, but had never joined. I am a member on several other Canadianicon and American firearm related forums.

Looking forward to joining in on the conversations and tapping into the knowledge base of the members here.

    Cheers!
