Ok thanks Jim. From the angle that the picture was taken in Post 1 and the shape of the radiator I thought that it looked similar to the Chevrolet trucks used by the Long Range Desert Group. When I last visited the Imperial War museum, London a few years back they had one of these LRDG Chevrolet trucks on display in unrestored condition but largely complete that had been found in the Egyptian desert about 20 years ago.
