Somewhere in either the the Instructions to Armourers or the L.O.C.'s there is a listing of a chest for TWO SLME sniper rifles and scopes.
I just cannot remember which one I read it in. Someone help me on this ......
Looks like this might be the one!!!

Vickers chests in various states of disassembly. Somewhere in France
, 1940.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928

.50 vickers, they just dont look right to me =/

For confirmation, look at the designation on the boxes, no muzzle adaptors and then look at the one in front of the crunchie with his back to us and scale it up. t LOOKS like a .303 gun leaning against the central 15cwt truck. I would imagine that they have just stumbled on an Ordnance depot stacked with them!
Anyone any idea what the trucks are?

On the PLUS side, these .50 Vickers guns are totally exempt from any sort of firearm control in the UK
