With the relative few that were sent to Finlandicon in their conflict with Russiaicon, the Swedishicon Mausers were not used in war leading to a generally very good condition.

I have one, an 1898 year model, that apparently has been through an arsenal reconditioning at least once due to mismatched parts, such as stock rings, buttplate ect. The receiver, bolt, cocking piece and associated parts there match. My pride and joy is a 1900 year model, made by Mauser Oberndorf for the Swedes. This one has a two digit serial number and all serial numbered parts including the stock match. From some material learned over on the Swedish rifle forum, it appears to be one of a special run of 5000 made by Mauser.
