    17-5-10 Garand Picture of the Day


    The Hoboken World War II Memorial, located adjacent to Frank Sinatra Park, was dedicated on November 8, 2008. The memorial, designed by Dean Marchetto architects, is set against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline and features a small park and a bronze statue, created by Burns Brothers of Jersey City, of two soldiers supporting each other. Helmets sit on top of 21 rifles behind the statue, and a plaque bears the names of the 159 Hoboken soldiers who gave their lives in WW2. -

    Combat Medic Memorial, in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, adjacent to the U.S. Army Medical Department Museum.-

    Breckenridge 10th Mountain Division Memorial (Riverwalk, Breckenridge, Colorado).-
    This monument is dedicated to the brave mountaineers who fought and died spearheading the allied drive to push the Germanicon Army out of Italyicon during WW2.-

    Nice memorials all. I guess it's not polite or necessary to pick flysh*t out of pepper in the details of the statues. Fact is they exist and lots of thought and time went into them...very nice.

    29th...blue and the grey. A unit formed from two civil war enemy units, one south and one north. Nice OD3 belt and such.
