ALICE pack frame
Hi,
I've came across this quite unusal ALICE frame and have been looking through google images for some time with no, similar to this one, results.
It has no markings whatsoever, rivets seem factory genuine, doesn't look to be self-made.
It has straight back (other frames are bent at the top), different style of reinforcement, the box holder at the bottom is non-detachable, fixed in place with rivets (as opposed to other ALICE packs, where similar 'shelves' are detachable and different style).
There are 4 holes for bolts which have washer marks, 2 at the top, 2 in the middle, to secure something tighlty that is long from top to bottom (hence no bend at the top of the frame).
Here are some pics: (Can take more, but quality won't be much better I'm afraid)

I have no clue what is it for, so I'm seeking some knowledge amongst you guys

Looks like it is for a radio.

Yeah, I thought so too, but there are no photos whatsoever of said frame; not to mention photos of radio high enough to be mounted on both top and bottom bolts. All I could see on the web were at best half the heigth of the frame radios.
Is there any hard example of said frame usage? or radio used on this partiucular frame?

Or perhaps my experiences of it personally?
Anyway, here's a PRC 10 set on it. We used the HF515 and a few others on it. The 77 got a cheapie, not a good one like this. This one's a bit newer, that one's about 30 years back.

Sorry, don't get me wrong - I don't doubt that ALICE frames were used for radios. The "hard example" was about this particular frame - I'm simply unable to find one and I'm curious what it is - some kind of experimental frame? Short series?
Didn't come across it nowhere on the internet.
The one you posted is a different frame - it's not straight, reinforcement is in different place (this one is in the middle, mine is almost at the top) and has detachable bottom plate.
Sorry if you got me wrong there - didn't mean to doubt your experience.
