That's the stuff. Often found as a white powder, used in detonating cord (det cord) and other booster charges. Easy to fill a bullet case with.

Have to add my M2 carbine story. Our company commander had an M2 carbine. Most of the time he stayed mounted on his ACAV, but on one occasion he was dismounted and accompanying the scout platoon through some triple canopy. Contact was made and in the ensuing firefight, he fired his carbine. Since it didn't sound like an an AK-74, an M16
or an M60, so he drew return fire from both sides. He did not use it dismounted again.
