17-7-1 Garand Picture of the Day - July 4th 1943
148th Infantry Regiment embarkation at Guadalcanal, on July 4, 1943. The 148th helped the allied effort in the Pacific Theater, including at the Battle of Bougainville, under the 37th Infantry Division. Via Ohio Memory.
