My understanding is that the tool is for marking the receiver when replacing the leaf sight with an adjustable. The scribe mark gives the reference for positioning the new sight so it aligns with the setting the leaf sight had for windage. Believe the TM gives the full procedure. - Bob

That would make perfect sense. I have the FM but not the TM on the carbine. Not sure what Ruth says, haven't looked. Neat piece.

To BobbieG and JimF
As a crow flies you 2 are only 76 miles from each other.
BobbieG to the South, Jim to the North.
To drive roughly 107 miles......
But estimated drive time is 2-hrs 12 minutes !!
Looks like main route would be mostly 101.
What gives?
Drive Slow Big Foot Crossings ??
Why do I bring this up you ask?
I'm tossing around the thought of a road trip.
Since the wife and her friend are wanting to head for Puyallup to visit her girl friends sons and grandkids.

Puyallup has a big gun show every month, the next one being on Aug. 12-13. About 800 tables. Contact me for more details if you need to.

If bobg lives in Lebanon, it's more like a 4 1/2 hr drive. Puyallup, only 2hrs 10 min away is the WAC (Washington Arms Collector) show, I am a member. Every couple months. Next one is August, then in October they are having a display show.
For June I loaned my 2X and Sniperscope to a friend for his table. He said it drew a lot of comments. He had the nicest carbine item table. Fact he just bought my 23,XXX correct Inland. I go for the jerky.

I believe that's the route Jim told me not to take. I didn't listen - take it and you'll find out!
