    not enfield but still ww2, i was just kicking tyres on that site and saw these... I was nearly speechless.

    RARE WW2 CHRISTMAS WILLOW SOLDIERS CAKE TIN | eBay

    these tins were made and sold here in Australiaicon during ww2 for people to send cakes etc to their loved ones overseas in the services.

    maybe 10 years ago I was doing some incoming goods sorting for one of the local charity shops and came across 3 (well 2 and 3/4) of the long log cake tins. I think I paid 50c for the two complete ones and gave them to my mother for the museum she is involved with, the incomplete one I threw out. ooops.
