it's a few years since I left customs but when there it used to be that the shipping companies offered an option where they did the import paperwork (Customs Entry) for you, at a charge obviously. The other alternative is to ask an import agent to do the entry for you and to submit it as soon as the goods arrive in the UK
. I would take their advice as to whether it is easier to import it as a Private import instead of using your VAT no on the C88. With all the increased licensing rules it is vital that you have the right US export licences etc.. I'm sorry I cannot give more specific advice but so much has changed since I left.

Just happy its safe and sound and Blood pressure is back to normal.
With the help of a Forum member with similar interests and a true Professional, Plan C was put into operation............ which went like a swiss watch.
