What you have been given is an Inland carbine that post WW2 went through a rebuild to update it to the latest type. The parts were mixed during the rebuilding as your magazine release was made for IBM. The rear sight and the type 3 barrel band for a bayonet are replacements. Typical of all carbines so that 98% of them have been rebuilt post WW2. Your barrel date is a bit early for the serial number but it could be the original as it's about 4 months back.
