I have been reading through these old threads. I have just purchased a no 4T with a mk 3 scope and would like to purchase both Peter's books for reference and knowledge improvement. Are they still in print? I haven't found then in a Google search.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... This thread has just made me realize how time flies Peter - it must be 30 years since you did the scope book, mustn't it? I still have a ring bound copy somewhere!

To think that I only did it because after I'd leant over and quickly adjusted a No32 simple-fix for someone who was about to embark on a 'rundown' shoot. His tele wouldn't go down to less that 400 or so which I considered a tad uncompetitive when 400, 300, 200, and 100 yards were the ranges that he was going to shoot at! At the quick lunch break he asked if I knew about these telescopes - and if I did, why didn't I write it all down. I just assumed that No4T shooters would know all this stuff. But nope...... nuffink! He and then most of his mates were quite amazed that I had the tools in my pocket too - tools that they'd never even heard of, let alone seen!

I got my No. 4T about 12 months ago now, and have managed to find a copy of Peter's Armourers Perspective & H&H book, via Amazon at great expense but I've still not managed to find a copy of the No.32 scope book from anywhere as yet.
