First thing I saw on both of them with the bayonet on the women cadet slipped all the way around so I gather every time she took a pace the whole lot would flap about and people eyes would be drawn to that, looks like KP for a week.
Whats that song by the village people "In the Navy........."
I have to ask this given the era of the Garand
why is it that we see them parading with the Garand and not the modern replacement.
As the op rod handle would be a pain in the neck although it does give you a reference point for shouldering the weapon.
Never had that problem with the old 303 MKIII....

Cinders, these are M14s and the Navy has been using them for honor guard for some time.
