    I believe they were a 'purchase' or maybe 'gifted' for operations during Vietnam. Typically the rifles found in New Zealandicon are Colt XM16E1, Colt M16A1 and Hydra-Matic M16A1 rifles. Serial numbers range between 614xxx - 3348xxx
