Swap Meet Find: 1903 Trigger Guard
I happened on a 1903 trigger guard today at the swap meet. it looked odd so I compared it to another I had and it looks like at some point in its life it was ground down not sure. I took a picture the guard I found is the one with the arrow pointing at it. The other is one I had that is a regular Remington 1903 handguard. you can see the difference. A few weeks back I bought a vintage cantilever tool box that had a bunch of rifle cleaning stuff in it when I got home I found a 1903 oiler/cleaning kit maybe these items are from the same place. I'll post that later.

, Back when everyone wanted to build "custom" sporters, this was a common modification. It still has value to the right person.

I figured as much. I added it to my parts bin never know might use it someday, or sell/trade it for something. Thank!
