Look at the 5th picture of the hammer nose it looks like it could be broken or maybe its the angle of the photo.

You have a typical M1 that last went through a rebuild in the mid 60's. No effort was made to match parts during a rebuild, so that's why you have a lot of Springfield Armory (SA) parts.
New barrels were made by SA up through the 60's and possibly into the 70's. I have an M1 with a 1966 barrel date.
I would recommend replacing the op rod spring with a newly made one. Don't forget to grease it with rifle grease.
Looks like you have a nice rifle. Shoot it and enjoy it.
