Green on White Sergeant First Class Chevrons?
OK, so I've apparently stumped everybody with my first two questions. Let's see if third time's a charm.
Included in the mass of stuff I acquired from the estate of a retired Marine couple were these two 5-stripe chevrons. At first, I thought they were gunnery sergeant chevrons for a woman Marine (the wife) as they're the same size as all of her other female gunny stripes. But they don't have the crossed rifles in the middle. So maybe they're not USMC stripes?
The only other chevrons that are similar to these are U.S. Army sergeant first class class. However, I'm not finding ANY other examples of green-on-white sergeant first class chevrons. And I can't imagine why these two Marines would have Army chevrons mixed in with exclusively USMC uniform items. My question is: does anybody have any idea what these are? Thanks again!

Ha-ha! It's OK, Jim. I'm sure they'll be along directly. This question in particular might be a little more interesting than the others. We'll see...
