Jeep,
Got your Email.
Then made a Desk Top File to move them to.
I then used my ole friends tips on loading pictures to Milsurps.
May I suggest you read this and give it a try.
Not that hard...... but I'm not that great when it comes to computers myself.
Here's the link (Very Handy)

So would this be an example of post war re-arsenal? 8-43 Underwood barrel, Saginaw S'G'. Blue Sky imported back home from Korea. It does have the post war flip safety.

I think it probably is. Are there any of the original markings left on the stock, such as in the slingwell, pistol grip, CC on the RH side, or rebuild marks on the LH side in front of the slingwell? That Type II rear sight has different markings than what I'm used to seeing. Is that a paper shim of some kind under the dovetail? The metal may have been refinished, possibly by Blue Sky after they received it back from Korea. The s/n being restamped seems unusual to me, also. Wow, those pictures are big when expanded! - Bob
PS. - You probably should have started a new thread, but I've been guilty of the same thing when I've had questions closely related to an existing one.

USGI,
First I'll start by apologizing, I didn't mean to hijack the post. Now for the stock, it is a replacement I bought from www.keepshooting.com for 35 bucks shipped it does have a rack number and a p proof on it though. The original stock was an M2 that bubba sanded into Oblivion, so thin it started to crack under recoil. I believe Blue Sky reparked some of the Carbines that came back in, the barrel is difficult to read because of it. I assumed that's why the serial was restamped. It is the original number when I look below the restamped. Again sorry I didn't mean to hijack the post!
Edit: The shim is some sort of light thin metal that has been folded.

The carbine was rebuilt in Korea. The rear sight is marked TI on the right side? If so that is for Tong Industries of South Korea. A rear sight made in Korea as a replacement. It may have been used by Blue Sky here when refinished.

Jeep,
Did you add the flip safety ?
And may I ask if the stock has any markings?
Seeing the fit of the recoil plate makes me wonder if it's marked RSG or IR in the slingwell.
Thanks
