What about the claim by the vendor of it originally being a hooked quillion example with a 1915 date stamped on it; would this be correct for 1915? Or is the vendor suggesting that the bayonet was made pre WW1 and perhaps reissued in 1915???
I have 2x 1918 examples with, as you say just Chapman marked on the blade.Information
