Thank You Eaglelord,
Amazing what can be gathered from others knowledge. While trying to get the OP up and going here on the Forum, I became very interested in his find (as said earlier, completely new to me).
I've said it before and will surely say it again.... You can not beat the group we have here.
Again Thanks !

Thank you both for the advice and info. It is quite fascinating how much history and information is behind these old military rifles. Doing research on this rifle has been a ton of fun and I’m only scratching the surface. I did find one more set of markings underneath the barrel in front of the stock. These markings are much newer and read “M 95/34 AUSTRIA 9X56 TGI KNOX TN”.
I’m guessing this is the import mark. I’ve read that these were incorrectly identified as m95/34s rather than m95/30s. I haven’t looked into TGI yet.
Any bayonet guys know what bayonet I would need to match the rifle? Did they still utilize bayonets with carbines? So many questions lol. Thanks again

Tennessee Guns International, Were Importers, Not sure if they are still in business... Lawsuit (s) BATF raids.... the usual.
Should be easy enough to Google. Ya got me wore out.......... Night Night ;-)
P.S. Do you have the cleaning rod for it?

Too fast for Charlie! Lol, I’ll dig some more on TGI. I do not have the rod for it. Were they stored on/in the rifle? See, more questions lol.
I can attest to the milsurp rifle fever indeed. The only temporary fix that I can think of is to buy more of them!

M95s did not have cleaning rods on the rifles. I haven't researched much into it but I suspect it was a NCO or some other higher ranking soldier, holding on to the cleaning supplies for the squad.

I didn’t see any area there could have been for storage. Thanks for the reply

I probably looked at a different model that had a rod while taking my crash course on the M95's

The bayonets used would have been a M95 bayonet. They are unique as they have the edge of the blade on the upper portion (like some AK bayonets). Most are Bulgarian refurbs, which would fit your rifle very well as it is also a Bulgarian refurb. I recommend waiting and trying to find one in the 50-100$ range.
