wooden army bunk beds

WWII army beds , need advise on value . wooden army bunk beds, manuf 1942, see pic)
used these in late 40's and early 50's. have been painted. no orginal bolts, used threaded rods
orginal olive paint is on underside.
can provide addtl pics

I can't even imagine...have you been using these for spare room beds? How did you ever come across them?

my dad acquired them before 1945, do not where he got them. they were my brother's and mine for years. been in garage for quite awhile.

A smaller size I should think. You could cut them from foam, special...make a mattress cover.

This is the bunk bed I remember from basic training. OD metal folding metal frame and a thin mattress that would roll up when we 'stockaded' bunks on laundry day.

The gray bunks (NSN 7105-00-935-3270) showed up in the late Sixties. Bunk adapters made a dandy field expedient club.

I think the folding ones were originally meant for hospital use. I had two that were extra high that folded like those...
