It would be good to hear from anybody who has had similar problems before I write to Ruger, who do listen to users views.
It could be a bad batch of top and base plates to the plastic mag and the tracks within it, which is what I favour as the main cause, for the red spring holder to jump off that rail when fitted together is so unusual. Pretty much Ruger have always been good, saved my life in NI with the Mini 14 so perhaps I'm a bit biased.............love them to bits great actions!!
