M1D Cheek Pad real or fake?! Help please!!!!

So here we have the classic, yes it is, no it isn't... How do you manufacture the verdigris on the brass? I still think it's original. They were made by more than one manufacturer...and the triangle stitch probably isn't in the drawing. Just a nice touch...yes, the triangle stitch is obvious when present.
