1944 Enfield No4 mk1 (T) (recent find)

A buddy told me about this rifle he was told was for sale, owner described it as "an Enfield Rifle icon

with scope in a wood box".
We expected the worst but it turned out to be an unfired 1944 T in matched transit chest with matched scope tin.
Crate had not been opened since 1971 and belonged to the fellas father who's health was deteriorating.

My buddy knew I liked these so I had first crack at it, I wasted no ones time and it is now mine.

My early Christmas present to me!

I just meant unfired by the previous owner who bought it in '71.

You did make my heart skip a beat when I read "hate to burst your bubble" though! lol!

Well, I guess it was really just one, I had listed one for sale to fund some renos, then this came up so another immediately got posted...
It's no fun to say I sold a rifle for renos so they both went to this

Good old Klondike Arms from back in the day when they were across the street from Bullwinkle's General Store on 101 Street. After that they moved to 115 Street eventually becoming P&D Enterprises.

Did you find this T still in the Edmonton area John?
