M41 Swedish Sniper
G'day there, I love my mausers and ever since finding out about them I have been curious towards the M41 snipers, but there really doesn't seem to be much info on them out there. I asked a fellow the other day who said he had heard of one in circulation only once in his lifetime, and he seemed rather wise in his age.
Are they really that uncommon?

swedish snipers
The number of M-41/B snipers were just over 5000 ... ~4000 ajack scopes made in '41, 42 for the rifle... ie some m41bs are without scopes..
The number of M41s.... with the AGA-42 scope are ~1000 and the -44 scope, half of that....
Oddly enough the upgraded snipers with the ajack scope seem to attract a higher price on sale even though more common. The swedish scopes are less powered (3x) and less quality (cloudy issues) than the german scope (4x).
Having said that, the optics on my AGA 42 rifles are clear but all my M-41/B's are much better, in all regards... I can't speak about the AGA44 scope; Only one I don't own

Ok so there are something like just shy of 7000 in the world? I suppose they would be spread out all over the place, but I have never heard of one in down here in Australia. I can't imagine there are many left that are not claimed by a collector.

m/41B
The m/41B sniper rifle. Note the sling, the ssr mount, the 4x90 AJACK scope, the front sight hood, the rear sikte m/55 sight upgrade, and the bore disc.

Wow they both look so nice. Thank you very much for the pictures and info. I am always worried about looking into high-end rare rifles like this because of the fakes and so on. There wouldn't happen to be a catalogue of the M41's, such as there is in The Lee Enfield about the Australian HT Snipers?
