Are you ready to kill or cripple? If its either thee or me, I am gonna do my best to make sure its "thee"

As for knives, if the perp is less than 15 feet from you, SHOOT! you would be Amazed at how fast someone with a knife can close that distance.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Very interesting food for thought.. I have had my concealed carry permit for a few years now. The original course was 16 hours classroom and one hit the target session at seven and 15 feet. A lot of good information came out of the class being taught by two active police officers. The first renewal entailed one four hour refresher and another seven foot target session. The third renewal the powers to be dumped the requirement for any refresher and only wanted the money and the fingerprints sent in.

I personally think that the refresher courses were a necessary event because it gave you updates and memory joggers.

Biggest thing I learned in my CCW course was that you leave yourself a way out and keep your butt to a wall for the most part. You don't look for trouble but you sure want to know if it is coming your way. Your weapon is concealed and it should stay that way unless you managed to get yourself into a spot that you should have avoided in the first place.

Was in a restaurant on day when a local banger got into it with another customer .. left with a very loud "I'll be back with my gun". I had bad feelings the lowlife was going to step inside and unload something at the table an arms reach from ours. I told my wife that if he shows at the door would she kindly just duck down because I was going to want a clear shot as soon as I saw a weapon. Scary situation to be in .. fortunately the guy didn't make it back in before the police arrived. Happiness is not having to prove you can hit the broad side of the barn in a crowded restaurant.
