Room for revolvers?

I'd give Rubberized bed liner/marine deck paint a thought as for a finish. Many color options and the encased rubber would be easy on stocks and gun metal. Note of caution- these are expensive.
You can save big $$ by making your own.

First: Spray can metal primer the stand, A quick dusting coat will do because you'll be going back over it with the 'Crumb' primer.
Next: Use a metal primer and mix cork or non abrasive rubber ground up to a fine texture (known as Crumb) mixed in it.
A Little Crumb goes a long way. Apply this by brush and roller. This Crumb primer could be sprayed with the right set up, but few have these 'Hopper' type spray guns around.
FINISH PAINT: You can use Spray Cans- Then finish SPRAY a Satin finish oil based Rustoleum in the color of your choice.
Save left over Finish Paint for any touch-ups down the road.

Just sharing some thoughts. I'm a retired painter and tend to make small projects time consuming.

While your at it, why not PIMP it out and have it spinning with neon lights?

I never heard of crumb. Sounds interesting as ihave a deck repair coming up with my Santana 525.
I have HVLP guns set up for base and cleat. I also have some guns set up with hog needles for shooting 2k type catalyzed primers. You think that needle can flow this crumb stuff?
