Hello again,
I recently posted a trade deal for a 1903 for my Garand. The other party sold it to someone else, however I have found a new individual with another 1903. I will be posting the same information about my Garand as the other thread, and I will be giving all the info I have on the 1903A3.
M1 Garand:
From what I have gathered it is post-Korean War HRA receiver. It has essentially all other Springfield parts. The op-rod is uncut, the stock has handling marks but is otherwise good. The bore appears to be quite nice. The barrel was evidently replaced with a 1963 Springfield. I am not sure if this means that it was arsenal refurbished in 1963 or if it is just a mix-match. I basically paid $1000 cash for it.

M1903A3:
Honestly I don't know much about this 1903. I know that it is a Smith Corona manufacture and the serial appears to be a Summer (July) 1943. The barrel appears to matching in terms of manufacture date. He apparently got it with a cracked stock and he replaced it with an original USGI stock. It looks nice, but I feel that takes away from its value. Overall it seems to be in great condition. He is offering me a $190 (I actually owe him $190 towards a Lee Enfield he is selling me for $380, so essentially I am keeping the half I owe him and I am getting the Enfield too), the original stock, and the 1903A3 with the replacement stock for my Garand. I would love it if any of you can help me find out more about this rifle. However, I don't know where to start. Just tell me what I need to ask of him and I will do so.
