    Thanks, and yes, not only do they seem sought after, but hard as hell to find....I have been looking for a pre war C stock for quite some time without luck....picked up a Northridge Int C stock, and while nice wood, is a bit fat...

    Not all SA SPG stamps are the same, early pre war SA SPG had the almost square box with tall narrow letters which latter changed to the rounded corners on the box with shorter letters. The late post war (1947-1951) SA SPG stamp has the short fat letters with round corners on the box, the late stamp can be found on both M1icon Rifle and M1 Carbine rebuilds. Not common to find on 1903A3 stocks, most common for these stocks are the SA GAW and the rebuild stamps with the SA in a partial box and a letter under
