Hello,
You have what started out as a Type 99 rifle in 7.7x58, made at the Nagoya Army Arsenal (Toriimatsu factory) in the 6th series. Your rifle was made probably in late 1943.
Since being brought home by a relative, it has been heavily sporterized. Your stock originally would have had a full handguard and lower stock would have been almost to muzzle as well. Bolt handle has been bent, etc.....no value in it, but enjoy as a sentimental shooter!Information
