That is a beauty, just as it would have been when sold off post-WWI. The finish is remarkably good for a scope that was probably fitted up in 1916 or early 1917. One might wonder where it spent the war. I have never seen a number where that pantograph-engraved "7" is on top of the tube, but it obviously meant something!
Complete right down the screws; I wonder what thread they are. The bases almost look like they were left "white" or only lightly browned.
