NRA Sporter Front Sight Question

Both Lyman and Marble (could be others) made the gold or ivory bead front sight that would dovetail into the 1903 front sight base. Attachment 91324Attachment 91325

It's really difficult to see much with the sight protector present, but, judging by your photos, it looks to me like the front sight blade on my rifle is probably a Lyman. Thanks for posting the photos!

An original 1903 front sight as in installedAttachment 91338 will have a line through it and the base as shown in my photo

Well, I removed the front sight protector (it was bent, anyway) and, as m1903rifle correctly stated, my rifle has a Lyman front sight blade inserted in the stock SA front sight base.
