Abused U.S. M5 BAYONET made by Imperial Knife Co. of Providence, R.
I got this really abused M5 Bayonet with some stocks I bought. Didn't know what to do with it so I posted it on the EwwBay for .01 cents with the following description.
Every single hour in the U.S. a Bayonet is violently abused. Many were rescued last year, but for hundreds of others, help came too late.
Will you be an Angel for a helpless bayonet? Every day innocent bayonet’s are abused, beat on, and neglected and if they could, they would cry out for help.
Please click the bid now on the screen and give the gift of hope right now. For only the highest bid you help rescue this bayonet and provide care, shelter, and love. Look at the pictures now and look at the bayonet that can be given a second chance by you.
Right now, there is a bayonet that needs you, your bid says, "I'm here to help," please bid right now.
For auction is a poorly cared for is a U.S. Military M5 Bayonet made by the Imperial Knife Co. of Providence, Rhode Island.

Not as good as the description I have for a military canteen I have listed on the auction site, but I enjoyed writing it (well plagiarizing an animal help commercial) and I got one bid so far LOL

It was worse, the blade was covered in this automotive undercoat like stuff, not quite sure what it was but it was nasty. I fail to understand why people do things like this to knives. I lost my mind when my mother inlaw was using my carbon steel chef's knife to hack through tree branches; I pulled my knife out to cook and the tip was bent at a 20 degree angle and the edge beat to $#@! of course, I caught my father in law using my whetstone (my grandfather so a family heirloom) to sharpen a lawnmower blade, I was even more p'ed. So I guess idiots abound.

I had a woman around for a few years that did that to my Kershaw French
knife. She threw it into the sink and bent the tip then denied doing it. Later she ran the edge into the faucet and actually cut the steel so I had a pinhole spray...upwards. And denied that too...
